Allie goes to the MTC.

Allie went into the MTC on Feb. 6th 2013. Morris, I Sydney, Noah and Jared all went up to drop her off. She has been there for 5 weeks now and has really grown a lot spiritually. She has really enjoyed the MTC. She is doing well at learning the french language. She has been teaching lessons, praying and saying her testimony in french. We got an email today from her and she said, she will be leaving for Montreal on the 19th of March with a layover in Detroit. She leaves on our 19th anniversary and she gets to call us from the airport. What a great gift  it will be to hear her voice. We can't wait....

I decided I will try to do a blog while Allie is on her mission. So that her family and friends can keep up with whats going on while she is gone. Allie decided to go on a mission when she heard the age change for missionaries in the October conference by President Thomas S. Monson. As soon as she heard she could go at 19 years old instead of 21years old she knew she was suppose to go. So in November of last year as she finished her 3rd semester at Dixie State college she started her mission paper work. By the time she turned in her papers it only took about 2 weeks for her call to come. We felt like she could go french speaking so it was so exciting when we found out she was going to Montreal french speaking. Like her Dad went to France and spoke french we were happy and knew it was where the Lord wanted her to go. She is excited to go to a multi-cultured city. So I hope I can do my best at sharing her mission experiences.
